Hi lads, new here! Just got myself a Parweld XTM182I welder to do some car restoration projects. It just arrived today and have come to set it up and give it a go. I have it set for synergic mig welding as its supposed to be easier. Now i dunno if this is normal or if theres something im missing with the setup but when i press the trigger and make the arc and leave the button off it continues to weld away itself until i press the trigger button again to stop? Anyone have any ideas on whether this can be turned on or off?
    Thanks in advance

Sounds like your machine is set to 4t mode. Just change it to 2 t mode

Sounds like it’s in 4T mode.

Not sure how to change it on the XTM though sorry

If yours is the one with 4 touch type buttons in a row along the bottom then pressing the 2nd from the left will change the trigger mode. I think it's 2t (on/off) 4t (latching as it is now) then spot (hold the trigger and it will come on and off at intervals)
Just try pressing it and see what happens
