I have recently bought this an have to say its a cracking helmet i have used many big brand helmets but for me this is the best so far its light as a feather, but yet it feels very robust an less clunky than others as its a slim design allowing me to get my head in places that i couldnt before. I also like the fact that the front lens is slightly curved leaving a bigger void between lens an screen helping to protect against sparks that make it through. I paid £57 for it delivered more than happy at that

Got the 916H and quite agree, nice helmet and as dumb as it is it's fun to have a helmet without tarty graphics or just dull black.

Sweat band is a bit stingy for thickness but is comfortable enough. On lower amp TIG work it's struggling but the front lens needs replacing so perhaps not a fair comment.

A spare sweat band would of been nice but overall very happy, I've been down to 8 amps on pulse mode an did'nt have any problems so maybe it just needs a new lens. I think wants it's been used an abused i will add my own graphics to it at least i'll know its a good helmet underneath

Bit of a bump to an older thread but does anyone use one of these masks with spectacles underneath? I'm pretty short sighted so will need to keep my glasses on underneath the welding helmet.

Yep I think it's the one I have and ware reading glasses and is ok. Some get a cheeter lens instead of using there glasses but I think I would then be reaching for my glasses each time I raised the hood to see how the weld is going !

Thanks, I've ordered one so hopefully it will be ok. Literally anything more than about 4 inches away from my face is out of focus without my glasses on so a magnifying cheater lens won't work (I need negative dioptre correction rather than positive like reading glasses are).

Good to hear. TBH if I start doing lots of welding I'll get a pair of prescription safety specs with the narrowest frames possible as I don't want to knacker my "every day" glasses.
