Parts washer going mouldy

Coffee cup I loaned out to some tree surgeons. Was out in the garden overnight, developed a bloom of interesting biologicals just from the sugars and fats in dead coffee. Citric acid is even more tasty as bug fodder.

Bleach isn’t full of chlorine, if memory serves me correct it’s a low amount, about 4% I think.

biocides are available and often required in large water based systems, but these are quite hazardous and introduce an assortment of skin hazards

I did not refer to chlorine but to chloride and chloride can initiate corrosion of some metals at ppm (part per million) levels.
When I worked in the power generation industry in 1980's, the company went to great trouble to buy felt tip pens which did not contain any chlorinated solvents. I've seen finger prints corroded in to components from the chloride in sweat and which were then used at high temperatures.

This is my attempt to cure the mouldy parts washer. I fitted a proper drain so the fluid can drain into a sealed tank under the bowl and got rid of the 240v pump and replaced it with a 12v one. The fluid is in the tank so l hope it won't fester. I am also using undiluted fluid.
