Cheers Hood I though the removal tool was wrong as the pins are to far apart. Yes the insert was not in deep enough in the photo I pushed it in a bit more. Question how do you push your inserts in I used the vice with ally soft jaws as they are quite tight to get in.Yes, the pin should go under the insert to pop it out. It is definitely not the right tool but the blade looks a bit funny as well, doesn't look like the insert is seating properly although I must admit I don't think I have ever looked too closely,.
cheers I will measure up in the morning and let you know around lunch timeYou use the tool to push them in but as your tool is not right then I would be wary as you may damage the insert.
What is the spacing of the pins? If you let me know I will measure the ones I have at the workshop tomorrow as I will be popping in to cut a few things on the plasma before I head up to the Cat.
I think your blade is weird, certainly looks different from the ones I have, see pic.View attachment 276530
Cheers Hood thanks for the info, thats good to know, amazing tools they even make chipsI normally use flood coolant, with steel you can get away without but for stainless I wouldn't recommend without and aluminium it will depend on the grade but personally I always use it. Brass and bronze you don't really need but it keeps down the spray of chips so I usually use it.
Delrin I cut/part dry, nylon always flood.
Well done 123 let me know how it goes, phenominal cutting when I saw the cost of inserts I did draw breath but I can justify it nowthey are great I am loving mine also! need to try it with flood coolant now just need to extend the guard so its not so messy/wasteful
