God only knows how big or what motor is in mine all I know is it's brushed and it's by a clear mile gutsiest one I've owned.Cheers, I try sometimes
Motors are a complex subject, and nobody can state x is better or worse than y without more information.
There's also seemingly unrelated factors too, like heat generation - if you hold the part that contains the motor that might get important quite quickly...
If anyone wants to head-to-head a pair of grinders, all it will tell you is which sum of parts is greater - it will tell you nothing about which motor technology is better.
It is a heavy lump and very long.
It's been up against my old Bosch and Milwaukee and a brushless dewalt and it's eaten them alive.
It is like you say much heavier so your post made sense.
