Parcel delivery

sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum, but could'nt think of anywhere specific to post it,i'm looking to post some side steps for a landrover Discovery which measure 1.7 mts long x 250mm x 200mm the problem i'm having is all the delivery services seem to specify a max length of 1.2 mts,just wondering if anyone on here knows any company they have used who would be able to accomodate this type of a parcel.
The weight is only 20kg and i can go on to various companies websites and put sizes in which then appear to be ok but upon further reading most say maximum lenght of parcel is 1.2 mts!!
Any suggestions gratefully accepted before i put the steps on E bay and then find i cant get them delivered.

TNT will take 2m at least. I recently sent a set of sideskirts with them

The reason for carrier companies having a max length restriction is due to automated parcel handling systems, they would just jam up with anything beyond the maximum.
The only companies in my experience that will take, 'delinquent' , to use the industry term, packages were Tuffnels and TNT, but that may no longer be the case, you would need to check.
I'm sure one of the members on here may have more upto date info.

thanks for the quick replies everybody, got on a live chat with parcel to go and got it sorted now, TNT seems to be the one for longer parcels.

Glad you found someone, I wanted to sell some Disco steps as well but the carriers wanted me to wait in from 0700-1700 on the day of collection which was not possible as I work shifts. Ended up putting them on the 'bay collect only!
