Any good real chocolate to look out for in UK supermarkets please? I can't say I notice a huge difference in dairy milk taste but they and the likes of Nestle Munchies etc do now contain palm oil and I don't want to keep buying it and encourage that sort of cheapening of products.

I believe that tonys chocolonely is palm oil free, and its nice tasting chocolate too (bit pricey mind).

Yes I think them and Penguin bars are legally only chocolate flavour products now. Hence why no matter how cheap they are on sale etc I walk past them now in shops.

But I also wonder does it really matter? If me or you refuse to buy and 5x others still buy it? Maybe big companies like that can weather the storm and just keep peddling smaller and smaller and more diluted chocolate.

I'm guessing the majority of the population don’t know and don’t care and the reduced costs over the few lost sales works out more profitable for them.

The wife still indulges in Crème Eggs and they’ve really shrunk in size but eating one leaves me feeling sickly.

I had a crème egg last week, first one in a long time. They’ve changed a lot since I was a kid and not for the better. I remember them being hard to get into and the centre being more runny

I'd say penguins are nicer now than they used to be so I'm not sure I'm qualified to weigh in on this discussion.

FWIW, antimony is more expensive than chocolate, but I'm not sure replacing the proper chocolate with something more expensive would make it more better, so is it a false equivalency to say replacing the chocolate with something cheaper makes it worse?
