Painting In a Garage on a Rainy Day

Hi,
I am so close to finishing of f my restoration but need to top coat my Boot, Bonnet and Doors.
Problem is the weather is now against me.
I can spray them in my garage with a fan by he window and the garage door open but how is the rain going affect the paint and what measures could I take to help.

I have anti bloom thinners and a hot air gun. I also have a portable gas heater?

Desperately need to get these panels sprayed.

you could warm the panels and garage before spraying and then for a while after spraying but make sure the flammable mist has cleared before heating again

Don't use the gas heater as it will put loads of moisture in the air. Electric fan heaters are useful as are high wattage halogen floodlights - for warmth not visibility!

warm the garage /panels best you can ....wait for mid day ish and go for it

a elec fan heater would be best , should be alright if you can get some heat into the panels

Could I run over the panels with a hot air gun before spraying them ?

yes anything to get them a bit warmer...does actualy take some effort from ho cold they get overnight

Big floodlight is what I use, for both heat and light.

It's the heat AND humidity that affects the finish, heating the panels will speed up the drying but they could still bloom from the humidity, best get both under control to give you the best chance.

OK so I prepped the panels and warmed the garage with a fan heater. Lightly went over the panels with a hot air gun.
Did my first coat with the main garage door shut but opened it for the last panel as the air was getting thick.

The coats seem be be flashing pretty quick.

Just finished the third coat on the inside of my doors, bonnet and boot as they will only get a light flat and polish. I am now having a cuppa to let them harden up so I can flip them to lay six - seven coats on the outside. Built a tent to park my doorless car in whilst I was spraying in the garage. It's held up so far and there has been very little rain but its just had a large shower but is clearing up again.

The garage door is shut and the heater is on.
