Hi;
The underside of my Mini and Suspension parts where pretty rusty, I have cleaned them up as best I can and painted them with a rust convertor (name unknown, acquired from place of previous employment).
This rust converter leaves the surface looking like its painted black, however if I sand it off there is still rust underneath in places?
Is it OK to paint the Epoxy over the black painted surface left by the rust converter or will this affect the adhesion of the Epoxy (I am guessing it will). Would it be better to sand off, apply more rust converter to any rusted areas and wipe it off then once dry key it with 800 grit and then paint.
I believe Epoxy can handle a little rust?
Thanks
