What paint are you folks using to respray cars on a diy basis.
manufacturer.paint type for home spraying with a standard. P3mask. What primer basecoat and lacker.or just primer top coat.and where to purchase would be good, North wales ,north west area.

Primer epoxy, top coat including lacquer 2k but you need an air fed mask for 2k and base coat will be polyester

I use 2K lacquer and a full face filter mask with regular filter changes after 15hrs, Epoxy primer and high build as the prep.

Nothing is 100% but I'm not getting into this argument again, it's what I use.

Not everyone is effected by the iso. Ive inadvertantly had more than a lung full of the stuff. Bit of a Russian roulette to find out if you, like myself and SIP are effected though. Been spraying for 30 years and whilst i use an air fed most of the time, i do use a filtered mask for some work. DIY, i would not recommend risking your lungs. Use nitro cellulose.
