Hi there,
First post so please forgive any mistakes in how things work round here.
I’ve got a Twin Turbo Fairlady, this has been in my possession for about 10 years, the previous owner reportedly had it resprayed not long before I brought it. Being a little older and wiser what it would appear is that it had a partial respray, anyway. After these years of ownership, most of which the car has lived outside and at one stage it was a daily it’s picked up the usual wear and tear and nows the time to resolve this. Aside from the chips etc the paint is pretty good. I did the underside the year before last.
So why am I here? Well after some minor body work projects on the car which were mostly successful I failed spraying the bonnet two years back, (sourced a good replacement) this has knocked my confidence to progress forward and the restoration work now required is far bigger an under taking. In an ideal world I’d love to repaint the whole car in 2k but for H&S reasons, outlined on this fair site, I don’t think that’s realistic. So I’m really here to guided down the right path.
I have a dry garage to spray the car, a 1.5hp compressor and a thirst for doing it right... I’ve done some research but tbh filtering out the nonsense isn’t easy.
