Tom Sawyer went one better than that, persuaded his pals that helping to whitewash the fence would be fun, and they paid him for the privilege..Just have a paint party and a house warming at the same time.

Tried cheap emulsion once, never again. I buy the commercial stuff, from either crown or dulux decorators centers.
Might I point out, that she wont learn to paint her own place, if you do it for her. Your the father, do one room, to demonstrate, then just offer the tools and advice for the rest.
Right must crack on I must rush to the city and do a few jobs for my daughter today!

Cant argue with that as like I said hate cheap paint, though, my father was a painting contractor, so was taught how to quite well. No vynl cheap stuff that nned will I agree soak in really well. But havent had any bother in this house, was all new plaster when I slapped paint around, 5 years ago....sadly her in doors seems to think it needs doing again, but my eyes are bad so ai dont! The cheap watery stuff can be an advantage for the first (P***) coats on fresh plaster. I find that diluted, it works better than the good stuff diluted.
