Hi,
I'm thinking of going down the basecoat and clearcoat route to paint my car.
But its all very confusing!
What type of paint is Basecoat? and could it react with old paint underneath (is it like cellulose)
Also is there a maximum time I can leave the basecoat before putting on the clearcoat? or does it go on after the basecoat has just dried.
Do I have to flat the basecoat with a fine wet and dry before clearcoating?
And lastly what size of needle is needed in the spray gun for each paint stage? I haven't got a gun yet, so don't understand the different needle sizes.
I don't want to go the 2K route with any type of paint, I'm painting in an enclose shed/garage.
But all your help would be great, as trying to google these things is a nightmare!
Thanks,
Dave
