this pass few days I got round to doing my yamaha thundercat up. looking nice now but still a little more to do..
frame/swing arms all done inc shock ..repainted etc.
anyway when it came to do the rear hugger.
I rubbed all down etc painted primer all is OK.
then I put black paint on and the ******s reacted.
on the tin it said compatible with acrylic and cellulose paints.
in the end after more rubbing down, I manage to get a coat on but had to spray at a distance so that a little bit of paint stick.
finished up with a semi satin finish.
what ever lacquer etc was use or paint it can't be acrylic or cellulose other wise it wouldn't reacted.
any ideas as to what may cause this?
I want to add white/black to the fairing and I don't want to end up doing the the same as the hugger.
I thought acrylic paints don't react and that you can paint on top of acrylic or cellulose?
can you still barrier paints?.
