i have two scooters that have been painted about 3 weeks ago in 2k . we intend to flat by hand with 2000 abrelon pads . what order do we use wax polish etc. i have g3 . and can you suggest wax and polish that are not to expensive . i have seen one that does the lot on a detailing site the german stuff any good thanks sean

for fresh paint you dont apply anything that seals until paint has fully cured. 3 wks may not be long enough.
ive never buffed by hand after wet sanding; its a bit of a graft with a machine! i would try a little area first. as its been 3 wks since painting its gona be a little more difficult. best to do it the next day.
i would consider a flow coat.
so wet sand with say 800 until its flat and even without breaking through (how many coats of clear on it? high solid clear?), then apply 2 coats of clear. this should lay down quite well. then you may get away with wet sanding with 2000 and buffing. or you may feel the finish is good enough?
G3 is very good with a machine; not sure about it by hand but it can be used by hand too.
Gtechnique P1 is worth considering. check youtube vids first. also farecla have vids out there too.
