As a few of you know I have been doing a bit of Plastic Fairing repair and that has caused me to have to re'spray the bike. ( Paint was faded in places anyway )
So my little blog:
Fairing was broken in a few places, mirror part in two pieces, lower part of the nose crack, mount on the nose broken in a few places. Side panels almost split in half.
All repaired by making some liquid plastic with Acetone and scrap ABS. No bodged Plastic Welding with hot guns or irons.

Repair after prime:

Paint, slight texture:

Paint not close up:

From what I have read the texture is normal with Celly and after colour sand should be nice and flat. The colour is still nice and Glossy even after a couple of hours now.
The colour is Ford Frozen White, as in the new Ford White colour with I think a hint of Ice Blue. Similar to Vauxhall Arctic White but that colour is not available just yet.
Not sure how many coats I put on but the tank had allot, paint sat nice with no runs or spits, even on the last few coats I done it with more thinners than paint, no runs or spits. More easy than spraying with Rattle Can. There are a couple of little bits not quite 100% but I would say 97% is good.
Set the Regulator to around 45-50 psi, mix on most coats was 50%, last few coats was about 40 / 60 %
I think I have used 3/4 L of paint, think I need to order a little more paint tomorrow as I still have the side panels to spray, also need some more primer for the Belly Pan & Hugger.
What you see are now in my spare bedroom, door closed, window on a jar so should dry / set or what ever the word is. Always warm in the house but the workshed is during the day 23* so colder during the night.
After I have rubbed / wet sanded everything I do intend to Clear Coat with 1K Clear RFU. Any advice on this more than welcome.
Also this is the materials I have to hand:
Obital Sander / Polisher with Foam Pad & Wool Bonnet.
Wet & Dry 80 - 400 grit
Wet & Dry 1500 & 2000 grit
T-Cut liquid & paste ( doubt these will be any use ) ( guess G3 is what I will get )
Please any advice or comments welcome "Apart from start again". First time spraying with a compressor, last time I sprayed a bike was all rattle can about 10 years ago.
Also thanks for all the people who have helped me so far
