Morning folks.need some ideas for building some kind of extraction for my garage, maybe fans built into a box with a filter,as I don’t want to be drilling holes in the garage.
Space is also quite limited aswell though.garage is only 7x4mFit an inner door with the holes to extract.
So just one to extract?I was thinking of building the frame steel angle racking which I have, and weld bolts on rack corner to go through the frame,so it’s easily removable. What you do with a side entry door is
Pop to B&Q and get some roofing lath
Make a proper jointed frame with it to fit snuggly into the non opening side of the door frame and also carry the fan (you need a big one) Block the rest of the frame with hardboard or whatever you have. Put a couple of B&Q steel desk drawer type handles on the fan mount so you can shift it around.
Obviously the fan is run with the actual door wide open.
You used to be able to get paint filters like scotch bright stuff on a roll from some paint suppliers.
Top and bottom push pull fans will short circuit the airflow. Using a fan to blow in will spread dust. Sucking out pulls air from everywhere at a much lower speed.
You expecting to get it stolen? So just one to extract?I was thinking of building the frame steel angle racking which I have, and weld bolts on rack corner to go through the frame,so it’s easily removable.
