me mates just got a bottle of oxygen from hobbyweld theres 3 agents within 12 miles. the bottles will be big enough for welding and a -bit of light cutting but if your doing a lot of burning -u need full size bottles. I think it was 85 quid and that included the deposit for bottleWhere can I get oxygen from near Sheffield? I've emailed boc anyone else to try?
Has anyone tried the hobby weld company for oxygen for a propane cutting kit?.
Thanks
Mitch

looks like your gonna -have to go to boc for full size bottle- on a rental agreement thenIt will be for cutting mild steel plate up to 6mm so hobby bottle ain't big enough for that?
Where else could I find one? Do diving companies sell them?

BOC prices
W Bottle = £28.28
X Bottle = £20.77
Y bottle = £9.79
Theres also an E Bottle @ £14.68?
Prices are with VAT,rental is best discussed with BOC themselves
How much do you have to cut i use the hobbyweld with acetylene to cut, its fine for the odd bit of plate or to cut a bit of box or beam to big to get into the bandsaw. If you have much 6mm plate to cut have you looked at the evolution circular saws better cut than gas and no rent.

Great tool a little scary at first but good in plate. 1st time i saw one it just looked so wrong as it was heading towards 12mm steel.
Yes,if you already have a BOC account,if your thinking "oh i have an empty bottle will they exchange it"?Is that refill prices?
No but the fabricators opposite my old workshop use one all the time for cutting 12mm on long angles when building stairs. I only used it once and if you hold on tight its fine. I would not use one to cut box. This is a tool i put in the same category as a chainsaw. Excellent in the right hands, in the right conditions, but looks like it could go wrong very quickly.

Then your answer is no they wont, the bottles not yours in the first place
Wondered what monthly rental will be then on the bottle
