Since running out of the gas in the only oxygen bottle which came with my Oxy-Turbo 1000 set , I've been shopping around for the best prices for both oxygen + Mapp. [I'm a Scot, what can I say ]
I've seen this eBay listing which would bring the average price of each type to £14.50 delivered. Looks good to me and the Seller has good f/back, although I realise you can't believe some reviews.....
From a Google search, I see that the 1000 is an update of the previous 900 - manly incorporating additional safety features e.g built-in flashback arresters, better handles and the all-important oxy contents gauge , so the performance will be just as good #fingerscrossed......
Any reason I ought not to take a punt? A supply like that would last me ages, as I seldom use it atm, just for freeing seized bits and/or bending stuff like round bar etc. Not had any success with brazing [etc] so far, but that's yet another skill I want to have a go at learning.
So much to do, so little time.....
