Oxy bottles

I can get my hands on two empty 1.8kg(2Litre) bottles,problem is they're oxygen bottles,the type of oxy thats used for people with breathing problems

Would these be suitable for CO2 and would a supplier fill em up?

No and no.

It's dangerous to put the wrong gas in a cylinder, imagine some poor sod trying to breathe CO2 because some idiot put it in an oxygen bottle.

Thats true,but that same idiot? will be stripping the paintwork off and repainting it black then painting Co2 on the bottle in white letters. tsk!

you will not find anywere to fill it. the valves are different and 2L is not going to last very long as at 50Bar that gives you 100L of CO2

They won't be filled as the vales are different and will be stamped with certifications of oxy.

madkayacker, if it was filled, it would be liquid and have a lot of gas in it. My 30lb bottle has nearly 7000L of gas in it. It is about the size of a 40CF regular bottle 3' tall).

There is two other big bottles than the two Litres,about 5Litres?

The valve is a 3/4 BSP on the bigger ones.
