Something strikes me as odd - general consensus is that it was launched under it's own pressure - but the neck thread is clearly showing. How could that have happened? I prefer to think it's either a prank or it fell out of a plane

I thought it was odd. My guess is someone messing about, perhaps filled it with propane and lit a match to see what happens.

did any russian cargo planes fly over a ****** trawler was sunk and the crew claimed a cow fell from the sky and sank it it turned out the crew of a russian transporter plane stole 7 cows loaded em onto the plane were flying over the ocean and the cows took fright bombing backwards and forwards the pilot couldnt controll the plane due to weight shift. so they opened the cargo door and let them out while flying. hence one landed on the trawler sinking it ps dont know why this is under shielding gas post it didnt shield the householder

it was on the tv the cylinder had had the valve removed the threads were clearly visable.

damn one minute i was welding the next the acetylene cylinder was flying off like a rocket into the horizon.

i bet no one owns up to that one. who ever set it in motion would have had to change their underwear afterwards

(Pedant alert) It was oxygen under pressure, acetylene is liquid dissolved in a catalyst and not under enough pressure to launch.

If someone unscrewed the valve on a full bottle they might find parts of him in the vicinity

Hear various things when I was heavily into paintball, someone was unscrewing the bottle from the back of the gun and didn't realise that it was unscrewing the regulator off the 300bar air cylinder rather than the bottle and reg off the gun. Good times

they do make cars out of themarmoured cars . oxygen bottles are 12mm thick thats why they dont dent
