At home I have an ordinary cutting torch, a large welding torch with a pepper pot heating tip and what I use 90% of the time for heating and brazing an old gas welding set that has a good range of tubes it's easier to change a tube than it is to change the handle, if I was heating and cutting more i'd leave the cutting torch on. Which ever torch is on I fire it up with enough propane so the flame is still touching the tip then add some oxygen then just keep adjusting them until I get the flame I want.

I have a BOC sapphire kit. Might be a bit more expensive than eBay but the quality is excellent and parts are easy to get.

Totally a no brainer cost wise in favour of oxy propane. Rental free for calor propane 13kg you will use three oxy at least to every 13 kg tank of propane as a guess. Make sure you get propane nossles and a guide for which size to use on what. Super heating nossles won't be required if your only doing heats on 6 mm mentioned just use the cutting nossles. Propane will save say £100-£150 a year against accetelyn, if your not welding you don't need it.
burned off big nuts you could just about fit in your hand with propane and Imo it makes neat cuts easier to perform.

looking for kit can be difficult Harris make an excellent torch and the tips have the cutting ranges stamped on the nozzels 3-6mm 6-25mm xct and there are two types if nozzels its a case of budget and what your hoping to cut or heat

Be aware that you must not use acetylene hose with propane (or vice versa) and I think you're also supposed to use a correct propane regulator not an acetylene one. So bear all this in mind, although most of the kit is the same an acetylene kit won't safely work on propane.
The cutting nozzles are indeed different, a two piece design which are readily available. Lighting isn't hard once you get used to it.

I have found propane lights better if the gas is directed against a surface as opposed to in the air.
