Hi all.
Just picked up this oxford bantam 180. Decided to take the lid off to check the oil. I'm thinking that it looks ok and the internals also look fine and therefore there's no need to change it. However, I'm not really sure what transformer oil should look like so I'd appreciate other peoples input on if it needs changing or not. Also the oil level I believe is sufficient. It covers all the way up to the tap changer. Does anybody know how high the oil is supposed to be?
Lastly, the seal around the top seems to leak slightly when the welder is tilted. I'm thinking that it might be worth using some rtv silicone to make a new seal around the top. Good idea? Bad idea?
Thanks in advance
