I have recently bought a secondhand Oxford Migmaker 240-1 and have (almost) got it to a setup which I am happy with on 1mm mild steel plate. I was wondering whether anyone has a copy of the manual with detail of the 2 setting dials, or could briefly explain them to me?
There is a fine and course. If you have this one The right hand switch has 3 coarse settings, the left is fine settings So 1 on the right and one on the left is lowest...20 amps ishh though the steps are voltage. 1-2 is next 1-3, 1-4 etc Then 2-1, 2-2 etc Highest is 3-4 or how ever many fine steps there is. The book isnt up to much, doesnt even go into that level of detail.
Sorry, I can't give to much help on 1mm sheet but I will say it is a lovely machine to use. Do you know what wire thickness you are using
Yes that's the one. That makes sense thankyou, although it would seem more logical to have the dials switched around - coarse on the left?! Using 0.8mm wire which from what I have read is a good compromise for a range of welding. Thanks
