if he has dry skin you can get away with a mild shock. moist skin a different kettle off fishWhen I was a teenager I once had a plug in a 4 way missing the top. I think it was the TV. I warned my brother about it. Stupid idiot put his hand flat on top of it. I asked if he got a shock. Just a bit of a tingle he said
if u had a couple of real bad ones you would rememberI couldn't even guess the number of 'belts' I've had from the mains over the the years..
Totally, these were just the usual touching 240v live wires type stuff , I'm no sparky so I've no idea of the science bit, but there's "belts" and "belts" depending on the kit involved I'm sure!if u had a couple of real bad ones you would remember
I did that as a kid, my brother had left the back off the plug on the record player, Daft 8 year old me che ked it was fully pushed home with the flat of my hand. When I was a teenager I once had a plug in a 4 way missing the top. Did get a good belt of some caps charged up to 800V though.
I think there was a bang as my head hit the cabinet above. Then there was a why the f*** are those caps charged to my friend / colleague? Then we realised that despite them being disconnected they were so good that they'd not discharged from a few days before.did u say ohh dear me that hurt just like i say in customers house if i get one in reality its ow ya xxxxxx even if there listening

Life no1 gone there then...I did that as a kid, my brother had left the back off the plug on the record player, Daft 8 year old me che ked it was fully pushed home with the flat of my hand.
I still remember, it felt seriously ‘buzzy’.
In my 30’s, free from 1st hubby, and living on my own, I picked up an old 240v to dc lamp, I’d been given, and hadn’t noticed the little electric cable screw in connector block on the mains cable. Some of the live wire had escaped, and I was part of the circuit, with one hand on the block, and the other hand on the metal lamp case.
Quite an interesting experience being unable to open your hands, while electrical current pulses through your muscles. And don’t get me started on watching my finger gently burn and smoke from touching the bare wire.
I was lucky that my right hand hadn’t closed completely, and I managed to ‘lose grip’, and the weight of the lamp falling, pulled the cable out of my left hand.
Aye, grand memories……
My nine lives were used up decades ago, but I think I must have negotiated quite a large overdraft for this life with whoever’s in charge.Life no1 gone there then...
I've had the old "50Hz Quickstep" a few times. One occasion when testing a 40-50 year-old Lister Gen panel, & the door slowly closed itself onto my upper arm (the gauges have long Live threaded studs on the back).I couldn't even guess the number of 'belts' I've had from the mains over the the years..
