Well; make sure you are well covered up, wrists,neck and bonce, and trouser legs over boots, or you'll be doing the slagkickers jig. Me personally, I go at same settings at first.I have the gun sideways on-ie rotated 90° to the normal grip.
Weaving -which I think is a bad term-you are walking the pool/puddle imho, and, its not always necessary.
Factors such as you machines power and wire size, plus the configuration of the joint play a part as to whether you wash or walk the puddle about, note-thats my view-again- my personal practice is I push the gun for thinner stuff, and pull on thick.
