thats like standing outside in the rainWhen I retired I gave a good mate a two post lift, he has been rebuilding his Land Rover on it for the last five years, outside, should be finished in a year or ten!
Nice workshop, you didn't really use it on pallets in the garden ?I had my four poster outside in my back garden for more than a year; it didn't suffer any deteriation with the moving parts well greased. I bought the lift when a good mate's garage business went under.

The planning department weren't at all keen to grant me planning for a tallish garage; this was on the basis of me already having the garage/workshop visible in the photo above. When they came for a site visit I pointed out that the four post lift currently sitting on my lawn would look a lot better installed in a nice traditionally built garage than bolted down outside on my driveway, which would be where the four poster would be going if planning was refused.

I didn't mind that they only grudgingly agreed.......
