thats one of the things about grinders i hate is the switch stays on, so u can use both hands whereas a drill you control with one hand so when your hand slips off the drill stops

same here im left handed. when a drill bites u grip harder the drill handle turns u let go of the trigger but still have hold of the lock pin round the handle goes U with it as well . i cut the bobble off all my drills so it cant happen. some firms in major industry wont allow them fitted

that's what i do a mate has a core drill and i refuse to use the fing thing as i kept catching it

In work we've recently had to chuck away 3 good 4 1/2" grinders because the switches lock in position (two were virtually new but were found a new home).
They had to be changed for a type where the switch runs down the underside of the body and doesn't lock on.....it makes them tricky to use one handed.

On all my angle grinders the guard rotates so you can use the part of the disk you want like straight ahead for grinding or at 90° for cutting. My 125mm grinder has a rear handle and a safety catch which you have to hold in before you press the trigger so it is impossible to use one handed.
