Bit of carbon steel never did me any harmLooks like you need a new tin of Vim!
Nearly every day, my mum had the Vim out for knife cleaning. It was late in my teens I realised the really short, 3-4 inch long blades on our knives were supposed to be 6" long! She'd sanded them down so much over the years.
Found a lot of old cutlery when emptying her house - including knife and forks made by a German company early last century - they only made cutlery for a few years, as their main business had been swords and bayonets.
Carving set/cutlery? I had trouble selling some spindle moulder knives - had to call them cutters.I've two sets like that. I want them gone but don't know where best to advertise them. IIRC Ebay doesn't like knives.
