other role along with welding?

Hi there!
Currently I'm at the college doing a Level 1 MIG welding and I'll go through Level 2. I'm planning to do a TIG Welding as well.
But I was myself thinking that would be much better to get a job if I get also other skills, so I was wondering what kind of job would work well with welding? I like paint spraying, but I guess that Paint spraying + welding= bodywork and I don't want just that.
can anyone advise any role related to welding or any helpful skills to get along with welding?

Depends what sort of place you want to end up working....

I do a bit of just about everything in my job, machine setting/operating,(press brakes, guillotines, punches, rollers etc) spraying, turning, welding, site installation, sheet metal, mechanical....

All in time, I have done a few things but trying them all at once aint so good a plan (jack of all trades master on none) applies when you take on too much at the start

This may be a bit off the wall, but my mate is an ex Royal Navy diver (ordnance disposal!) and is now a contract diver. Most of what he does underwater involves welding or cutting, in the North Sea, gas platforms off the Norfolk coast and some work off Africa or in the Persian Gulf.

6 weeks on, 6 weeks off, very good money.

Might be worth considering but you'll need to spend a few years building your diving quals as well as welding ones.
