Orange lead

Ive just took lifted the yard gates off and decided to cut out the rusted cross sections where the bars had been welded to each other. The gates are on 80 plus years and heavily coated with orange lead on the bare metal with other coats of red on top.

Now that im cleaning it down to the bare metal what paint would anyone recommend.
Is the galvinised paint any good?
