I mentioned this in the 'Today I Acquired' thread but thought I'd mention it here, too, and once again thank @Revs1972 for posting the eBay link - cheers!

The helmet shell arrived on Tuesday, today arrived some gold coated glass lenses and I had a brief play half an hour ago... I'm very, very impressed! Last time I used a fixed shade helmet was twenty-five years or so ago and I'd been recently reading about the colour clarity that a decent one can offer and I can see why; so clear, better colour - and I have to admit better than my Optrel Neo P550... but obviously doesn't have the convenience of an auto-darkening lens.

Damn, that was the one thing holding me back, as I have loads of brand new outer lens.

And top marks to Optrel for keeping the same lens for such a long time. I love the curves on their lids

I had quite a few but they went with the e684 when I sold it as the panoramaxx uses different ones.


Every day when I am using the Crystal I still get a kick out of the clarity and brightness of it
