Here we are Ratty, a picture of my mag drill with cutter fitted (35mm Dia), and a picture of the slug that is produced when the hole is cut. Cutting a slug rather than turning the whole lot to swarf like a normal twist drill would means it cuts much quicker, and the tools last longer.
just wondering - do you have to drill a pilot hole first for the pilot pin to follow?? or is the pilot pin just there to eject the slug???
Cheers
All you need to do is mark the centre of the hole with a centre punch as normal, then align the spring loaded centre pin in the punch mark, turn the magnet on and off you go! Once the broach has passed through the steel, the centre pin pushes the slug out of the cutter.
for get all that you need 1 of these:laughing
errrrrrrrrrrrr wazza last time i said summat in a thread :to another member about an outa date topic i got moderated so now i keep me gob shut i cant win catch 22A spammer resurrected it then BS replied to the spammer's post without noticing the date the thread was started.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I HAD BEEN NAUGHTY but that was one o themHi,
I don't think it's a case of 'being moderated' as it's not against any rules to bring up old threads. Isn't it more a case of Woz having a bit of a joke at your expense?
