Please forgive me I'm just needing somewhere to vent off

In 93 I had an accident while making a delivery to BR at Crew & while I was doing my curtains up on the trailer a 12 tonne forklift backed over me & dragged me under the rear wheels & did quite a bit of damage to my foot & ankle.
So to cut it short gradually over the last 15yrs it's been getting more & more painful & the long & short of it is, I was due to go in for an operation on my right foot on the 20 Jan which has been booked since Oct 10 & we have a son with mental health problems & I'm his main carer so the Mrs had to pass her driving test before my op as I cant drive for several months & he has a lot of doctor & hospital appointments so we've had to make a lot of changes & arrangements only to get a call on the 19 Jan to tell me they have CANCELED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I'm re booked for the 27 Jan only to get a call today saying SORRY IT'S BEEN CANCELED AGAIN!!!!! & now cant give me a date for when I can have it done so I'm right BRASSED OFF .

Have you been compensated for the injury .. ??? Give simple yes or no

Do you have a Patients Advisory Liasion Service group PALS in your area .. if so they may help your to progress your case as a carer.

I understand that you may be able to go else where with the cost being met by your NHS group .. well worth checking with the PALS people .

Yes I did in 1996 but compensation wasn't at the same level of today.

Spoke to admissions Friday & the surgeon was trying to get some extra theater time and I'm suppose to find out tomorrow about a date.

Yep spoke to PALS Friday and if the date is a while off they will see what can be done.

Ken what you're referring to is "modern Britain". Here's my rant.

I left school at 16 and joined the police service as a cadet. 29 years on I am still a police officer. I have never claimed any benefits and have always paid my taxes.

I have recently spent over a thousand pounds fighting to keep my driving licence. What is my transgression you must be wondering? Well it's not spotting 30mph speed cameras in areas that I am not familiar with and getting 4 x 3 points for doing between 38-41mph in a 30. I currently have 12 m points on my licence. I managed to keep in by pleading "exceptional hardship". However another 3 and I'm stuffed and will be disqualified for 6 months. Each offence has cost me £60.

Now here's the rant. Due to lack of resources the police have implemented a procedure called "local resolution". So if I arrest a little s**t who has damaged someone's fence or car, or stolen items from a shop, as long as the vitim is happy for the matter to be informally resolved it can be. The same applies to adults. They are not arrested, convicted, they never even see the doors of the nick. What do they do? Methods of disposal include "returned stolen goods" (great, thanks so much) "wrote letter of apology" (many can scarcely write), banned from shop.

All in all a terribly sad state of affairs and one that seriously p****s me off.
