Open ended ratchet spanners

I use them on brake pipe fittings. First flare nut spanner to break them loose then the Fakum to spin them off.

That's what I'm after, seems a couple of mentions for the facom.
I'll try and find one.

2 pipe fittings on the little cylinders tee'd next to each other, need to be undone gradually to allow access to service the 2 small piston things inside. Doing it with a standard open ender works, but is tedious when there's rows of them.

Have you considered a knipex pliers wrench? They are great for that sort of application and you can "ratchet" them by releasing your grip on the handles.

I remember getting some "one size fits all" spanners in the 70's with sprung jaws similar to this

Maybe crack the nut with an open ender then "ratchet" them off with these?

Screwfix do Wera Joker ones but they’re quite spendy.

I thought about mentioning those (always fancied a set) but having had a closer look they don’t seem to ratchet? Just a clever design to grip the fastener and get into tighter spaces

Really handy for putting nuts in awkward places. But I don't like them as a general use spanner.

Ah, I assumed they had some sort of ratchet mechanism.

That would be interesting wouldn't it, a truly ratcheting head rather than slip/grip. I guess it would be challenging to package the mechanism slim and reliable enough - does such a thing exist

Looks a little cumbersome, don't think it's quite what I'm looking for for the job in hand. Thanks for digging it out though!

I got it to do up the flare nuts on a " difficult to get to " abs module , it was to bulky for them boogers .

Think ours come from Hayley Group. If I remember, I'll check in the morning. Not cheap, but worth every penny for the time saved.

Ive had a set of the snap on ones , same design as the Facom in the picture , they have their uses , Ideal for inide of things you cant quite see , I wouldnt go mad to buy a new set but at the same time I wouldnt be without them .... Teng I really dont rate at all .
