Have you considered a knipex pliers wrench? They are great for that sort of application and you can "ratchet" them by releasing your grip on the handles.
I thought about mentioning those (always fancied a set) but having had a closer look they don’t seem to ratchet? Just a clever design to grip the fastener and get into tighter spacesScrewfix do Wera Joker ones but they’re quite spendy.
Really handy for putting nuts in awkward places. But I don't like them as a general use spanner.I thought about mentioning those (always fancied a set) but having had a closer look they don’t seem to ratchet? Just a clever design to grip the fastener and get into tighter spaces![]()
Ah, I assumed they had some sort of ratchet mechanism.I thought about mentioning those (always fancied a set) but having had a closer look they don’t seem to ratchet? Just a clever design to grip the fastener and get into tighter spaces![]()
That would be interesting wouldn't it, a truly ratcheting head rather than slip/grip. I guess it would be challenging to package the mechanism slim and reliable enough - does such a thing existAh, I assumed they had some sort of ratchet mechanism.

Very smart, oh dear I might start lookingYes, it does!
Looks a little cumbersome, don't think it's quite what I'm looking for for the job in hand. Thanks for digging it out though!
Yup.
