Hello guys and girls,
Well as the title says, I've done it again. Picked up another Rover Gas Turbine. It's a 10301 which was the APU for the Avro Vulcan.
I got it from Everett Aero in Ipswich. At it's core it's a Rover 1S60 like the 10201. Unlike the 10201 it has a lot of the ancillaries missing. The core engine is intact though.
So with all the missing bits, there was a price they wanted for it and an amount I wanted it for. We came to an amicable compromise somewhere in between.
The 10301 had an AC generator and bleed air for the aircraft conditioning. It also has electric motor start and cartridge start. It is being picked up in Tuesday by the pallet company. Should be at the Museum mid week.
