You best have a rotoflex after that commentWhy do you want a RADIO ? On your handle bars.
The fill with sand trick and heat has always puzzled me, how could that possibly work.
If you fill a plastic bag with sand, even with no air it shapes all Iver the place. Think boxing bunch bag.
I know a lot of people recommend it but I cant see it as actually doing much
What would you guys do if you had this particular job to do ???
Lastly, as its stainless, I don't really want to get the tube cherry red as it might damage its cell structure (but I am not to sure off that concern)
its half hard copper, bending steel or thick wall alloy would be a different ball game. Not sure if it is any help but plumbers bend 22mm copper pipe in their pipe benders so would one of those do the bends you want?. Could you buy the bends pre bent and cut and weld them together.
I thought about that, but for now I want some flexibility on the position of the bars. The Reliant trike I had was done like that, quite tidy. I'm building this V8 as a steroidal version of the Reliant, I loved the minimal style, as opposed to the usual ginormous proportions of V8 trikes. If you make your own risers with tube welded tothe bars you can run the wiring internally for the neat look.
Whatever you fill the tube with before bending, make sure it is compacted down well by repeated tapping on something hard to settle it, then plug the end. I think cement powder would be too 'fluid', whereas sand locks together once compacted.
