I was just finishing work last week when I noticed that the scrapyard artic had its trailer raised about 6 feet in the air. Being the inquisitive sort I wandered across to see what was going on. The owner was trying to make his Polish staff understand that he wanted them to trace a wiring fault with its weighloader. Pigeon Polish/English was being used from them and expletive English was being used by the boss (excellent working atmosphere)
The owner knew that I did the repairs on our trucks and plant so he asked me if I would have a look. I suppose I spent and hour there and eventually resolved his problem saving him a good bit of time and money
he asked me what do I owe ya Badge ?
I said "nothing mate, but if you should have a tool box turn up in the scrap, not too beaten up, think of me"
At the end of play today one of the Polish from the scrapyard came over to our place and said the boss wants to see you. I went over to his yard and low and behold he had bought me a new heavy duty clarke tool box
I asked him what I owed him for it and he said "you dont owe me anything Badge, I am grateful you helped out"
If that wasnt enough, Matt from Lorch came thru for me again and I took delivery of my second Lorch M-Pro 252
Happy Days
