Sharp blades work wonders … most are considered disposable these days.

Just use one as long as it works ok then bin it

I resharpen tracksaw blades for rough work. (Breaking down ply/MDF )
I always use the same blades so o can run 10 blades through on an hour without changing the setup.

TSC will sharpen a blade for about £11, that's far cheaper than a decent blade!

I spend 30 quid on 3 Saxton blades for my tracksaw. Couldn't justify that cost.
New blade per kitchen and resharpened at home for the rest

I said "decent" blade.

I'm on the fence about Saxton blades, sometimes they are great, other times not so much, had a wobbly one not so long ago.

Why spend 30 quid on a single blade il destroy cutting worktops and end panels full of metal. The performance increase/lifespan is negligible with my use.

Better to have a surplus of new blades to sling on when the best possible cut is required.

Can't say I've had a wobbly blade and I've got a stack of dull blades well over a foot high here.

lightly touch the tips up on a green stone grinder by hand it works a treat i have 3 saws i do it on and a good quality blade on the chopsaw and a table saw just for clean wood

Got a little sharpening jig in the shed. Makes it easy. Do 10 blades missing one tooth. Reset angle and do the other teeth.

Given how much use it's getting I might splash out on one of the left.

New one ordered this morning and should be here late next week.
Il have a test first to make sure it does the job then your welcome to the old one.

In mk for the next month if it's easier to meet up on your way too/from work.

160mm blade for reference.
35kg so not light either.

Ways aren't amazing but there only for setup. Will need a little fettling and setting up but should do the job
