Howdo chaps.
Don't know if there's any on here, but here goes: Twice in the past two weeks I've had tyre issues which would have been made easier by my carrying tyre inflation kit. This morning's turned out to be a cracked rim rather than a puncture, but hey-ho.
With a view to getting such kit, I've been looking on-line and for around £100+vat, I can buy a 15 metre hose (don't need any longer, my wagon is 12 metres long) which is quick release one end and wing nut connector for the lorry's air point on t'other, and an inflater with a 2.7 metre hose for "remote" filling. It's from a company called "Tyreshopdirect" in Feltham, Middlesex.
Sounds like a reasonable deal to me but I wondered if this gear is cheaper any where else?
For info, I have no problems buying my own gear of this sort as it will get me out of the brown stuff as well as the firm. Call me weird if you want, but I'd rather pay for it myself and keep it for my use. I've found too often that company property tends to "walk" and invariably doesn't get looked after.
Thankly, as always, in advance.
