Possibly bad form to quote yourself but apparently the above quote has dubious origins. It is often attributed to Socrates on the internet but it isn't his either. It first surfaced in 1907 from what I understand. There are loads of genuine quotes decrying future generations from times long past and this was one that I googled to support my point. Still think my point stands. Just a bad choice of googling.
