One for the farmers; Calves.

Metalspanner thats a lot of help, means I can fit the drawing on my workbench.
Doing it on the floor is a massive pain, as I walk over it and kee rubbing it out, in the end it changes as I restore it.
Here is my working drawing done by one of the guys tutors.

Very simple, what I have to do is make an outline is steel bar, then make an open structure that is rigid and looks like the beastie, I will also attempt to make the black bits out of sheet steel.
Having a basic drawing like that is a massive help as I could ever draw it.
Once I get started I will get onto the projects page and maybe share the awful process as it unfolds.

Looks good Chunko! only....there's something off with the head....can't really say what....The ears maybe...

I suggested galvanized and they were happy with that.
Of course being farmers it is a finish they are familiar with.
Sparkey, you have drawings of calves? I would love to see them.
My best mode of work is to have a collection of drawings lying about the place and use bits of all of them. PM on its way.
This is the sort of thing that makes this forum such a cool place.

One of his other songs from the same album is more in keeping with you.

Got your PM! Well, not much more calves i'm afraid....cows, horses, a few birds (with and without wings!) etc....i draw what i see, depends on my mood etc...
It's a shame i don't have much time to do it lately....
There's a few of my drawings in the "any more girls" thread but no calves....

I'll look if i can find some more calves in my cow books ( i happen to have a few awesome books with GREAT cow artwork in them!)
I'll have to scan the images tho, takes me a while...when are you planning to start?
