I have dabbled in high end bicycle ownership in the past, now I make do with a 13 year old Kona Kilueaua (how do you spell that?) (high end but ancient).

Unusual test. Do many people actually shoot at you as you fly by? The problem there is that they are not using the right round. You see this is a .22 on the left and what I would use on the right. I think I could guarantee adequate penetration on this one.

22lr are designed for maximum energy release in the shortest space of time and travel. because it is a solid slug of lead it will dent the tube. after a few hits in the same spot it wil rip the steel open. its just like a very powerful airrifle.
if you had used a .17 hmr with fmj's then that would have been peppered. have a look at the spinner i made in the projects section, thats a .223 centerfire it will pass through 10mm steel plate quite easily, but the spinner didnt take all the energy.

Sure loads more energy of course, but the .17 is still faster and flatter. The .50 bmg is a great round but has limited use. I find that it's no so good for crows. Ha Ha. I'd love to shoot one from the top of a tank. What a kid.
