Thanks for that. There's an LCVP (Vehicle and personnel) at the Royal Marines Museum in Southsea which is a Falklands veteran, and I have heard rumours of an LCT (Landing craft, tank, much bigger) which is being saved for posterity. Probly still a few in Davey Jones' Locker off the Normandy beaches as well..

I watched that the other week as Im making radio controlled model of a smaller LCP(R) its amazing how many variations there are of landing craft. if you like that sort of thing, this book is a good read, showing the variety of craft
