Every year we see a lot about condensation and how to cure it.
Our 1921 bungalow has no cavity wall insulation, no roof under-felt and only partial loft insulation, the south facing windows are double glazed but the big ones on the north are original single glazed.
There are two vents in the larder, which provide Rayburn with air.
Only heat is from a Rayburn in the kitchen and a wood burner in the lounge. Two other rooms have elec flat panels that are never used.
Original front and back doors let in draughts, as do the north windows which have no curtains.
The bathroom has a heated towel rail, and there is some condensation in there but that's to be expected. Clothes are hung outside then put on a ceiling airer over the Rayburn.
The purpose of all this is to show that when all else fails, a dry heat source combined with ventilation can often be the key to curing condensation at almost no cost, without the use of clever modern technology.
These pics taken this morning.
This is the unheated room, thin vertical blinds, that's dirt on the glass reflecting snow, not condensation, the door is kept shut in winter.
