Old school torque wrench or digital?

The digital ones run all the time, they just turn off the display. It's the same with digital verniers. I always take the batteries out after use. As for torque wrenches, I use a beam wrench. I doesn't go out of calibration so long as you don't exceed its capacity. Didn't Rolls Royce always use them?
They can be awkward sometimes in a confined space. Mine is over 50 years old and is as accurate as the mechanical ones I have plus you have that little bit of 'feel' rather than a click.

3rd vote for Norbar, I bought mine in the 70's, took them into work a couple of years ago to check them on the calibration rig and they're still near enough spot on

All nice but top notch equipment is generally out of my budget sadly,....I only have a couple of things by Teng for example and I consider their stuff to be good quality, well the feel, fit and finish all seem good to me.

I've got a Teng 3/8" one and its really nicely made, feels good in the hand etc. Not too expensive either!
