Old school dynamo

I would guess a perkins V8 would take quite a lot of torque to turn over so a conversion to an alternator and twin batteries would be a must imho, maybe even a geared starter motor as well.

It takes a good caw to getting going .might need get new leads as to long a turn over and start getting a bit heat. Will see his get on working away with dynamo then if not will try alternator . Is it hard convertion?

Go for a 1 wire alternator, no difficulty wiring that up !!!

The Dynamater or whatever its called sounds a good idea, just remember it s negative earth and old Fordsons are positive earth so you'll need to wire it accordingly. Not much to be done.
