A mate has just got this when clearing a shed of Rudge parts,
"he has a big Harrisson so does not need it"
and may ebay it, or whatever, it is in Kent, Meopham,
so what is it?
I dont want to hijack this thread but rather than start a new one I hope you dont mind if I upload a lathe that my father used, but no name.View attachment 255821
Well i would agree that it would have been dangerous under normal circumstances and I am not sure how it even got there.
You may also notice that the belt from the motor is disconected as I was working on getting it going.
That lathe looks like it could be a Portass. I only know of one chap in the Meopham area who is heavily into Rudge bikes. Has done a lot of vintage trials on them.
The idea that he doesn't need it any more I find strange, I have three lathes, I have been known to make parts on my Compact 8 for my Edgwick lathe! Also having one set up on one machine can "free up" another! I understand if one doesn't have the space, but....................
