Old lathe grease

Afternoon guys.
Slowly progressing through a couple of lathe refurbishings . On some of the old bearings they are packed with grease. Now I appreciate that it's been in there for a long time. But what modern equivalent is being used today to grease bearings. This stuff is really sticky ol stuff. And after you See the picture below please keep the comments clean lol

The reason it'll be so claggy is due to the oil having separated out, over time. Any decent grease should work.

Yes Its definitely past it's sell by date.

had a similar issue on my fobco it was packed with the stuff. I used this grease, seems pretty good

The worrying part for me is that I've actually got some old Retinax & Alvania here. Shifted it from the original containers into plastic tubs though, as they'd rusted something rotten. Managed to salvage one container for use as a bin & such though.
