Its a rotary engine out of a model plane.

The flywheel is on the outside, although it's missing from this engine. It would have fitted on the tapered side of the crankshaft.

That looks to be the one can't see the detail but the 1934 model A looks to have the identical engine

What about the venerable cg125 at least he will get home after every ride with this engine

Doesn't look very 20's / 30's, its the challenge of building it

You could use the engine and forks and make it look like that. Then it has proper decent brakes and suspension

I would tend to agree that using something jap as a starter would be the best way, once you start getting into it, classics bike spares of any sort are not cheap at all
